Browser Upgrades

Browser Requirements

You will need either Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0 (or better) to take part in Web Traffic School of Virginia.

Some older versions of Internet Explorer 3.0 actually contain a "2.0" engine and won't work. If that's the case, you'll need to upgrade for free.

Upgrading your browser is free and will result in a faster and better Internet experience, not just for this course. Simply click on the link below for the browser you are using to upgrade:

AOL Users

You will need to use at least AOL 3.0 to successfully take the course. Many versions of both AOL 3.0 and AOL 4.0 do, actually, contain "2.0" browsers that cannot be detected by the user.

If your AOL is not a true 3.0 or better, you need to go to keyword "upgrade" to upgrade your AOL for free.

If you are having crashing problems with the built in AOL browser, the next time you enter AOL, minimize (shrink) AOL and launch either the Netscape or Internet Explorer browser. They can use your AOL connection and shouldn't give you any problems.

If you continue to have problems with AOL, please contact us and a member of our staff can talk you through the process.
